Description

This two-part workshop will provide a refresher on attorney legal ethics and professionalism, and is approved for 2.5 hours of Attorney Professional Conduct hours.

Part I – The Lawyer’s Duty of Candor: Cases and capers leading to fines and failures (1.0 hour)

This program will focus on lawyer professionalism and civility and the duty of candor to the tribunal under the Ohio Rules of Professional Conduct and the State and Federal Rules of Procedure.

Part II – Choose Your Own Ethics Adventure: Spring Break 2025 Edition (1.5 hours)

Using a travel theme, this program will focus on the most practical areas of legal ethics to help lawyers and legal professionals serve their clients better and avoid grievances. Content will include a discussion of the Ohio Rules of Professional Conduct, Rules for the Government of the Bar, Board of Professional Conduct Advisory Opinions, recent disciplinary cases and essential rule changes. Other topics will include AI ethics and lawyer mental health.
