Kathleen (Kat) McGlothren (she/her)
Operations and Grants Administrator
In her role as Operations and Grants Administrator, Kat is responsible for efficient office operations and administrative functions such as record keeping, data management and assisting CFMV’s president. She also directly supports the Foundation’s grants and scholarship processes.
Before taking on her role at the Community Foundation, Kat, a life-long Youngstown resident, studied dance at The Ohio State University and vocal performance at Youngstown State University’s Dana School of Music. She then worked as a retail manager at various companies and has done freelance proofreading and editing since 2007. She returned to Youngstown State as a non-traditional student, where in 2021 she received her bachelor’s in professional and technical writing, graduating Magna Cum Laude. After graduation, Kat served as a dance teacher for Students Motivated by the Arts (SMARTS) and continued her role as a freelancer before finding her new home at the Community Foundation. In her off-time, Kat has appeared in several noted productions at the Youngstown Playhouse, including A Chorus Line, Cats, The Music Man, Mary Poppins and A Grand Night for Singing.
