Philanthropic Services Director

Shawntae Burton is honored to serve the residents of the Mahoning and Trumbull counties as the Philanthropic Services Director. Her mission is to lead the engagement and retention of current and prospective fund holders through a strategic fundraising and stewardship program. She completed both her Master of Education Administration and her Bachelor in Arts in communication studies from Kent State University. Prior to beginning her journey with the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley, Shawntae worked alongside of some of the most incredible learners and their administrators while serving at Youngstown State University and Eastern Ohio Education Partnership. Shawntae is excited to build authentic relationships with more residents who are interested in strengthening our community one story, one charitable gift and one act of service at a time.
